Our Vision

Who We Are

Homegrown Society delivers nature-based programs that engage communities in environmental stewardship.

Our aim is to deepen relationships with nature and place through environmental education and stewardship.

By upholding a community science approach to land management, we strive to generate knowledge and tools that can be used to inform collaborative conservation decisions.

Vision

Fostering a sense of belonging through neighborhood stewardship.

Our Goals

  • Inspire relationships between people and the natural world.

  • Support the development of community-led stewardship initiatives.

  • Create a network of neighborhood stewards to address environmental concerns at the neighborhood level.

  • Provide opportunities for youth to meaningfully engage with nature.

Strategic Alignment

To better communicate our impact, we have aligned our work with global initiatives.

The UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration is a rallying call for the protection and revival of ecosystems all around the world, for the benefit of people and nature. Homegrown Society’s initiatives are part of a global effort to stop and reverse the destruction and degradation of ecosystems worldwide.
