Target 6 - Reduce the Introduction of Invasive Alien Species by 50% and Minimize Their Impact

With the help of the community, we are implementing a forest revitalization project that involves monitoring and removing Invasive Species from Case Woodlot. Active monitoring throughout the forest allows us to identify pathways of spread and prioritize areas where we can implement control measures.

Target 21 - Ensure That Knowledge Is Available and Accessible To Guide Biodiversity Action

To build a culture of care around Case Woodlot, Homegrown Society provides information regarding the state of the forest through environmental education. Knowledge is shared with the Town of Aurora and the to the community.

Target 22 - Ensure Participation in Decision-Making and Access to Justice and Information Related to Biodiversity for all

Case Woodlot stakeholders have the ability to shape our program by bringing forward objectives to include in our strategic planning for the program.
